The south door has a Norman arch with diapered tympanum. The door itself has the original intact ironwork from the early 1100s.
Beside the door, is one of the three bells that hung in the rebuilt tower over the centuries. The bell in its wooden frame carries the inscription "Vox Augustini sonet in aure Dei" ('Let Augustine's voice sound in God's ear'). It was cast by John Danyell in the 15th century and was in use until 1928.
