Colchester - Holy Trinity Tower- Saxon Brickwork

The upper windows of this Saxon tower illustrate 11th century bricklaying techniques.The bell opening consists of twinned windows, but not separated by the more usual turned shaft or colonettes. There are traces of a blind arcade mid way up the tower.
